April Mae's New Book "The Chronicles of Collateria, Book 1: Portal to Collateria" is the First of the Saga of a Young Boy's Magical Adventures in a Faraway Realm.

Recent release "The Chronicles of Collateria, Book 1: Portal to Collateria" from Covenant Books author April Mae is the imaginative book of The Chronicles of Collateria that tells of a ten-year-old lad's journey to a new world filled with fantastic beings and bewitching characters.

April Mae, a registered nurse from Indiana who loves teaching nursing students as well as working as a bedside nurse, has completed her new book, “The Chronicles of Collateria, Book 1: Portal to Collateria”: a character-driven, first-person novel of DL, a young, active boy who finds himself in a mystical land and awakening his heroic feats to defeat the evil plaguing it.

April Mae shares from her book, “Nimrod comes closer and stops. ‘Who is this DL?’ he says in the gruffest voice ever. I step up and tell him I am here to see him and someday soon I will help him overcome his anger and take away his spirit of fear he casts on all the wonderful critters in this land. He paws the ground angrily and snorts out of his nose. He looks me in the eye and says to me that we will see about that when I come to meet him for a duel. I feel such energy flow through my veins. I take a step closer to him and look him right in the eyes and tell him I am looking forward to our match. He turns and starts running from where he came from.”

Published by Covenant Books of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, April Mae’s new book is a page-turning masterpiece that shows chivalry and heroism—two necessary virtues essential to defeating the maleficent being terrorizing the citizens of Collateria.

Falling into a sinkhole that leads to a peculiar and unfamiliar place, DL must learn to use his wits in defeating the evil bull Nimrod, bring peace to the land, and live up to the expectations of Collateria’s denizens of him as the one they have been waiting for.

Readers can purchase “The Chronicles of Collateria, Book 1: Portal to Collateria” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, or Barnes and Noble.
