Cristina shares, “When we got off the plane, I was usually exhausted and hungry. It was about a five-hour flight. Traditionally, we went to In-N-Out, a famous burger place on Cahuenga Boulevard in Studio City. After, we’d take a trip to Hollywood Boulevard and walk on the Walk of Fame (a sidewalk embedded with stars featuring the names of honored actors and actresses) or we’d go to City Walk (the name given to the entertainment and retail districts located near the Universal theme parks). The first day was always the most haunting for me because it felt worse than jet lag. An overwhelming feeling would come over me, and I’d forgotten how to get excited. It was too many events, too many lights, too much food, too much talking, too much attention, too much sympathy, and too much explaining. Everything had a name and a meaning. The next morning was a little more relaxing because I had already said my first hello.”
