J.C. Comerford's New Book, 'The Postman's Lantern,' is a Story of a Postman Whose Unselfish Act of Kindness Led Him to an Enthralling Journey

Recent release 'The Postman's Lantern' from Covenant Books author J.C. Comerford is an enticing novel of a kind postman who arrived at his last stop in the middle of a snowstorm during Christmas eve who found a stowaway letter inside his bag and took him on an unforgettable journey in his life.

J.C. Comerford, a man who took a job with US Postal Service as mail carrier and is still delivering thirty years later, has completed his new book, “The Postman’s Lantern”:  a stirring account that opens the hearts and eyes of the readers for them to be able to see how kindness makes miracle in many different mysterious ways.

J. C. writes, “During a devastating Christmas Eve snowstorm, John the postman arrives at his last stop, at the steps of the Frost family. Here, he rediscovers a stowaway letter in his mailbag, not for his route. It’s a letter from a hospitalized grandfather, to a very special grandson. John feels obligated to make the delivery. His unselfish act of kindness leads him, and then the Frost family, on an unforgettable journey across a seemingly endless track of farmland. Little does John know what he's carrying. The lantern he carries becomes a mystery, that guides their way through astonishing events. They finally arrive at the Evans house, where they find themselves before an extremely sick boy, a mother’s pain, and the mystical workings of God.”

Published by Covenant Books of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, Comerford’s new book is a plot-driven narrative that leaves the readers a lingering question about how the mystery happened to a postman through an act of kindness.
