Marcy Gullap Flowers's New Book "Forbidden Romance but God's Forgiving Love" is a Memoir About Physical Abuse at the Hands of a Husband and Co-Pastor.

"Forbidden Romance but God's Forgiving Love" from Marcy Gullap Flowers is a true story told in the third person about the author's illegal immigration to the United States and her eventual naturalization; meeting her would-be-husband and following her calling to ministry; and finally co-pastoring with her husband while trying to survive his abusive bursts of rage until his unexpected death.

Marcy Gullap Flowers, a widowed former nurse, naturalized American citizen from Belize, and a senior pastor in Los Angeles, California, has completed her new book “Forbidden Romance but God’s Forgiving Love”:  a harrowing true story of abuse at the hands of a pastor.

Flowers shares the following excerpt from her book, “While growing up as a young girl, she always felt that God had a very special calling on her life and that one day He would be using her to assist in advancing others into His kingdom. She was not sure how this was going to happen because she was now thirty-four years of age but always believed that one does not question God. About five-thirty-one Saturday morning, Dana’s doorbell rang. Dana passed by the sleeping girls to see who was ringing the doorbell that early. She then came to Marcy and told her that Lester was outside and would like to speak to her.

Lester looked exhausted as if he had not slept for days. He started apologizing and kept saying how sorry he was. She then told him that his behavior was unacceptable and would not be tolerated by her. She told him that she needed to find a church because those were the happiest days of her life, and she needed to get back into the house of God.”
